The Mercer's Grains of Paradise

Looped digital video projected into an archway on King St. Norwich. The temporary commission was part of Contemporary Art Norwich. The work focused on a sense of transience and the history of trade in the area, particularly worsted cloth and spices, which were formerly transported via the nearby river. The video used historic textile patterns marked out in sandblasted glass and spices that were blown away.
