The Penduick was one of a number of ocean racing yachts designed and raced by Eric
Tabarly the celebrated French yachtsman. Here he is imagined voyaging around the world with the backdrop of a curtain of falling stars. Tabarly died at sea, swept overboard on a journey to Scotland. I found the image of the Penduick, beautifully drawn, on a commemorative plate.
