"The Sea at the Cinema"

Dimensions
23 x 29cm

"The Sea at the Cinema" Acrylic paint and hessian on birch ply. The sea pictured as a screened or projected image. In my studio practice paint is often peeled off pallets and repurposed in a new work, offcuts of canvas often used as pictorial elements in new works. The works emerge from the negotiation between this collected material and the image in my mind, Often permitting things to develop beyond my first intentions. As this work developed the sea threatened to overspill its pictorial boundary.
