Installation created in response to a research trip to Iran, exploring notions of personal narrative within a more general history, with particular reference to the meeting of Western and Islamic cultures. Water drips from the roof dome onto a bucket, which when full tips into the trough and so is recycled in a never ending motion. Portraits and vessels are sandblasted onto glass within medallions of a wallpaper motif, on a form inspired by Islamic and western architecture.
