To mark the Tercentenary of the birth of Samuel Johnson there was an exhibition of works by a group of artists from June-September 2009, set within, and in response to, the house where Samuel Johnson compiled one of the first English Dictionaries.
Samuel Johnson, 1709-1784, was widely regarded as the leading literary figure of his time, so much so that it is often referred to as the “Age of Johnson”. He was (amongst other things) a poet, biographer, lexicographer, essayist, editor and reviewer of the English Dictionary.
My works comprised of a series of lazercut books and dictionaries.
