Tri Angle

Project: Biosphere This sculpture connects the key components of the different interests I had been exploring floating, warping and function. By tying the three objects together the triangle of string became the sculpture. Helium was used to suspend the rubber balloon to keep it afloat giving us a sense of what it is like to float within the atmosphere. The workhorse and lathe relate to the warping of wooden bowls that I had been working on and the hook relates to the fascination I have for practical construction.
