'To be close' 1-5

By  Joanna Mowbray 2014 - 2015

Joanna Mowbray

Five forms, each comprising of two different folded copper 0.5 sheet sections. These are placed together with thin delicate spaces between so that the folded sections almost touch and allow light to filter through the forms. Natural light reflects the colour and shadow of the copper to create a rich radiance between the folded forms. This work tried to achieve simplicity of form and process to create a feeling for distance and closeness. It is a metaphorical work that questions relationships.
