Trace

Bridget Kennedy

Time is a precious commodity, it is measured in many ways. With "Trace" Bridget Kennedy marks time as it interacts with an interior space. Drawing round the patch of light from a skylight she highlights the most elemental time piece, the sun in conjunction with the movement of the earth. By extending these shapes into sculptural forms she tries to freeze time and in doing so creates a three dimensional surface upon which the movement of the day is played out.
