Traces

Traces - Audio-Textile Installation - Mission Gallery, Swansea, Wales. Ainsley Hillard’s Traces, an installation of twenty hand woven panels and sound, encourages us to engage with Mission Gallery’s past as a seaman’s chapel and community meeting place. The audience is actively engaged in the sensory experience of the space. A haptic, embodied experience where multi-layered images appear and disappear through movement, and sounds of pages turning, footsteps crossing the gallery and the bell's toll emerge and recede.
