TRACKING

Subject matter: Use of abstracted mark making to explore inhospitable coastal terrain cross-crossed with a lifetime of tracks leading in many directions, yet all searching for the ‘best’ path. A dangerous terrain full of challenges and choices, for me it also highlights a long held association between nature and fate. Mixed media painting on paper incorporating gestural mark making with use of layered techniques, water colour paint, acrylic ink and chalk pastel.
