A portrait of a souvenir tray showing the iconic view of Table Mountain in Capetown. It is a trompe l'oeil piece, part of my assemblage A Painted Album in which most paintings are based on photographs from my South African upbringing during the apartheid era. Such views seldom included Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was being held prisoner.
