Treasure

By Susan Williams 2014
Small polythene (jewellery) bags are filled with water and sealed. These are placed between damaged concrete 'cobbles' beneath a tree. The work reads as trickling water and also as glittering stones or jewels, necklace like, alluding to the preciousness of water (amongst other references). This work was part of the First Art Kit (a play on First Aid Kit) global traveling project, making art from simple materials sent in a first aid kit sized box to go in a place that needs art. http://firstart.nl
