Twig that Got Stuck in My Hair

Whilst walking, a large twig became stuck in my hair that remained in place on reaching home as nobody told me it was there. On close inspection, I noticed the beauty of the lichen and moss that were growing on the little stick. In midwinter these were a reminder that life was still present in the wintry landscape, however subtle and subdued. So it was painted in watercolour.
