UNQUIET EARTH: Europe's collective trauma with the outcomes of Totalitarianism?

By  Phil Whiting 2004 - 2025

I started this painting many years ago after visiting the death camps, whilst researching my project ‘Places of Mourning in the Western World’. Sadly the present occupants of the White House (and a growing number in the UK it has to be said) seem to have chosen either to erase from their minds or are oblivious to any lessons to be learned from the horrors of recent European history.
