Untitled Red Drawing No.1 is part of a larger series of drawings where references to man-made and organic are made, creating a hybrid or morphing of real location and imagined places. Using reduced colour to emphasize a physicality that refers to an internal landscape, on closer inspection the viewer is led to question what is presented. This drawing takes inspiration from a map of Rugby in the Midlands where I was born.
