Versteckte Geheimnisse-(hidden secrets)

This was painted when I was living in Berlin. My studio was a former Stasi spy development center and was directly opposite the infamous Hohenschonhausen prison. The whole area was sited in a restricted military area that was hermetically sealed from the outside world. The area was not even marked on any East German city maps. The painting is my reaction to all the secrets which the area concealed. The orange mark represents the untold stories.
