Flag tape (barrier tape), sticky tape A site-responsive installation made during the Gullkistan residency, Iceland. Barrier tape arrangement using the slopes of the roof to give shape and meaning to the work. From the front (dominant) views the work appears as architecture, a cathedral, angels wings, musical organ. When approaching the work the perspective is accelerated with the tapes increasing size dramatically like turning up the volume. From within there is a sense of light and space and a feeling of well being, looking back out the tapes are back-lit and glow like pink glass.
