A series of drawings done in 2017 by walking through areas of beauty.
Long walks give time for reflection, moving to my own rhythm, keeping my own pace. Stopping to observe, distance and space, focusing on detail up close. Quick gestural drawings, loose and expressive, layering them up to create new images – trying to capture how I see, things in peripheral and in a rigor of looking. Delight in encounters with animals and drawing them. Paintings from drawings.
