Walpurgis Night Research Kiosk
The WALPURGIS NIGHT RESEARCH KIOSK is a work in pprogress, located in the 2nd Year, Fine Art Studios at The University of Sunderland.
It is a multi-media and multi-disciplinary research station that has set the following questions as a starting point.
What is Walpurgis Night?
What is this image?
What is this art work?
Who is Paul Klee?
Why am I drawn to this painting?
How is this a model for an institution?
How can we find out about these things?
What would Thomas Hirschhorn do?
Walpurgis Night is like being in a dark forest.
I’ve had a couple of people sign up.
Paul Klee and Thomas Hirschhorn. Goethe.
The poster says 'Hello! I'm Lesley the AA2A Artist in Residence. I need your help with my Research Project. Tell Fiona if you are interested! What is WALPURGIS NIGHT? Save the date 30th April 2026.'
