Warkworth schoolhouse represents the medieval castle of Warkworth, still standing on the Northumberland coast. Easton's recent technical expansion into the realm of glass, references the tradition of medieval stained glass work using screen-printing. Accessing glass facilities at Sunderland University's Glass & Ceramic Department, glass enamels have been printed and fired onto the surface of the glass. Mounted onto a south-facing wall, the glass panels stand proud, distributing colourful shadows onto the curved surface of the wall.
