Where the Light Falls

This work explores the relationship between the landscapes we desire to inhabit and the domestic spaces that hold us. Rolling hills, moss-laden forests, and vast coastal skies, suggest freedom and inspiration, the solace and possibility found in being outdoors. These are places of refuge, offering moments of quietude amidst the noise of the everyday.

Juxtaposed are urban landscapes and the sounds of domestic life - the clatter of transport, the hum of laundry, the rustle of tasks, and the repetitive rhythms of activity. The interplay reflects the tension many people experience, caught between the need to escape into nature to think, create, and roam, and the unrelenting pull of the urban environment and daily responsibilities.
Where the Light Falls captures the dualities of longing and constraint, reflection and connection of the push and pull of these opposing worlds, as we navigate both inner and outer landscapes.
