Form of sculpture based on sailing vessels formerly carrying goods to customs warehouses at Gainsborough from coast, on tidal river Trent. Signals sent from an anemometer on one mast and from a sonic device on the river wall to the other mast cause neon tubes of different colour to light up as wind speeds and tidal levels change. Rippling seats provide comfortable resting place and play opportunity for children.
