Work Number 424 Torn Guernica

By Gregory Hayman 2012

gregory Hayman

This is a screen print in two sections on the reserve of found plastic banners. It is designed to be displayed in the process of falling in two - so one part horizontal the other sliding down the wall and onto the floor. It is intended to show that even such a heavily mediated piece as Picasso's Guernica can in time cease to lose part of its impact and meaning to successor generations - this work is a lamentation of that process.
