Work Number 503 Definition (Degree Show Piece)

Sculpture: Mixed media The work is about memory invested in a range of familiar objects and asks whether there is an essence that can describe their ‘thingness’. The piece also seeks to explore the relationships between word, image, object and materiality. The piece is intended to mirror the dialogues taking place between the object and its image and between verbal definition and the object.
