Apply for the Axis Fellowship 2025!
Axis invites applications for the Axis Fellowship 2025, a prestigious, fully-funded development opportunity for early to mid-career artists. This initiative supports a cohort of three artists over two intensive 3-month periods: October - December 2025 and February - April 2026.
This opportunity is for early to mid-career artists who want to grow their practice, build peer connections, and share their journey with the wider Axis community.
What’s involved
Fellows will receive:
- £4,000 artist development funding.
- Monthly cohort sessions with fellow artists.
- One-to-one mentoring from Axis staff and guest mentors.
- Tailored digital content to share their practice.
- Profile-raising support via Axis’s platforms and social media channels.
The Fellowship runs in two phases:
– October to December 2025
– February to April 2026
Who can apply
To be eligible, you must:
- Be based in the UK
- Be an Axis Member
- Be part of the Axis Community (logged in, agreed to the guidelines, and introduced yourself in the Hello thread)
There are three (3) Fellowship places:
- Two (2) are open to Professional Members who have held Professional Membership for at least 12 months by the application deadline
- One (1) is open to all other Axis Members, including newer members who pay a £15 Fellowship Eligibility Top-Up when applying.
What if you haven’t been a member for 12 months?
If you haven't yet hit 12 months, or you’ve joined recently, you can still apply by completing a one-off Fellowship Eligibility Top-Up.
The top-up is £15 and payable when you submit your application. It helps demonstrate your commitment to the Axis community and supports the delivery of the Fellowship.
Completing the top-up makes you eligible for the one Fellowship place that’s open to all members.

Applications open: 11 June 2025
Closing date: 28 July 2025
Shortlisted candidates will be notified: 1 September 2025
Interviews will take place online: week commencing 8 September 2025
Expected Commitment
Only members who are fully committed to actively participating in monthly meetings, mentoring sessions, and creating promotional content should apply. We are looking for dedicated artists ready to invest time and effort into their professional growth and engagement, willing to share their development with our members over the year.
