PROFILE
A freelance gallery artist and curator with over 15 years experience of creating and delivering exhibitions. Currently organises around 20 contemporary art exhibitions per year working with emerging and established artists. Current clients include DMH Stallard, Liberty Property Trust UK, Cripps LLP and RSM.
As well as organising exhibitions in the office of Arts and Business, Brighton, John Packer Associates, Uckfield I have been working with DMH Stallard Solicitors since 1998 and am solely responsible for delivering art exhibitions within their gallery spaces.
I project managed and curated the bigheart auction in 2015 which featured 200 artists and raised £30,000 pounds for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice and the Brighton Dome in March 2015. The 2016 auction secured donations from Quentin Blake and major Sussex artists and raised £38,500.
I have been a curator at Liberty Property trust since 2008, Kings Hill, Kent, solely responsible for delivering art exhibitions in 9 of their buildings and curating exhibitions in the Art Deco control tower gallery.
My experience includes delivering one off exhibitions including the Arora Hotel in Gatwick, Embassy Court Brighton for Arts & Business and a number of satellite exhibitions for the Bigheart auction. I have designed exhibition layouts and overseen their installation at venues including the Brighton Dome and the Towner Art Gallery.
Other projects I have worked on include the Brighton Festival on a variety of projects funded by Arts and Business to create exhibitions for corporate clients, and I was invited to be one of four judges for The Brighton Festival Arts Prize.
As a practicing artist I have exhibited widely in the UK and Hungary and Spain. My work has been selected by various commercial clients to produce numerous commissioned paintings to tight deadlines.
I am experienced in exhibiting and participating in Art Fairs including writing successful funding applications, raising corporate sponsorship, hanging exhibitions, managing budgets and facilitating sales.
My extensive network includes emerging and established painters, sculptors, photographers, printmakers, ceramacists and jewellers through placing their work in exhibitions.
I work happily at all levels, working closely with stakeholders to realise their vision of a project.
