Adele Reed

Coventry
Female photographer specialising in colour film landscapes, urban environments and representations of motherhood.

B. 1988 in Warwickshire, United Kingdom.

Adele Mary Reed has been experimenting with photographic imagery and diaristic practices from a very young age. She graduated with a First Class degree in Photography from Coventry University in 2016 and has exhibited widely across the UK.

She prolifically documents her explorations of the places she finds herself in and in doing so seeks to playfully highlight, maintain, introduce or restore the inconspicuous beauty within moments and things occurring during day-to-day life. She is interested in analogue methodology, personal archives, taking unplanned walks, plant-life, elusive moods of stillness and balance, topographical themes and representations of motherhood.

Adele curates a collection of 35mm images depicting motherhood called 35mmotherhood. She also facilitates a Mothers Who Make hub in Coventry held at The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
