Concepts My main themes either evolve from my sketches of people in their everyday environment into life-size figures in paint and fabric (Chance Encounters), or from my visual diaries. This work is more personal as I record my immediate world noting actions, feelings and visual stimuli. (Timelines) Influences As an artist, I am determined to keep direct influences to a minimum. This ensures an originality and integrity in my work. I am inspired by painters and sculptors who demonstrate single-mindedness, bravery and vision.
