Sarah Satchell
Nottingham
Statement
My interest derives primarily from an engagement with fabric & fibre, and the dialogue created by the quality of light diffused through layers and the manipulation of form. My continued interests in layering & fragmentation, combined with a growing desire to reuse & recycle, have led into mosaic, & I have also developed concepts of transluscence within the additional discipline of processional carnival artforms.
These disciplines have been developed within community arts, and public engagement forms an important function of my work.
