Claire Meharg

Exeter
Claire Meharg is a contemporary fine artist with a Masters and Degree in Fine Art from the University of Plymouth. She is a champion of painting and drawing ,together with new technologies.

I am not concerned with reproducing an ‘obvious visible’ ‘but an emerging invisible’, that comes from the act of painting and drawing, and the dialogue that develops between the paint and painter.  My work is not a representation of the world as such, but a search for an inner emphasis that cannot be illustrated in an obvious object.   It is the observations and thoughts between the obvious that result in the making of work.
