Alan Bond
I moved from London to Edinburgh in 2010. In London I founded the gallery, Seven Seven Contemporary Art. The gallery had strong international links working with public museums and private galleries in Europe. the gallery extended my peer networks and helped keep me informed of current developments. Earlier I had worked as a part-time lecturer in a number of English art schools and provided workshops for design and branding companies. I also worked on set design and production for major London venues and festivals worldwide. On moving to Scotland I began to form new networks. I won an award at the Scottish Society of Artists and subsequently co-opted to be a member of their council. The SSA afforded many contacts and led to a busy exhibiting schedule in Scotland, providing me with the opportunity to regularly show in group exhibitions with audiences exceeding 20,000 visitors
Alan Bond lives in Edinburgh and works from NMR studio/Out of the Blue.
