Anton Goldenstein

Bristol
I make diasporic art, painting, sculpture, film, ceramics, I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, my parents are Egyptian and South African born, my heritage becomes very complicated after that.

I create art that explores the intersections of cultures and ideas. Born in South Africa with diasporic roots, my family's history reflects migration and change. My work draws from history, language, media, and everyday life, focusing on how cultures clash and evolve in a globalized world.

It’s playful, autobiographical, and shaped by my experiences with books, films, and travel. I’m fascinated by how we experience the world, both directly and through the lens of society and media.
