Graeme Reed

Graeme Reed is a UK-based artist whose work explores uncertainty through images that hover between the familiar and the unknown.

Working primarily in printmaking, he builds images through layers, edits and chance discoveries. Familiar subjects - a house, a face, a flag or an animal - slowly emerge and then dissolve, refusing to settle into a single meaning. 

His recent series, The Future Screams Back, reflects on life at a time when many of the things we once trusted - social institutions, political systems, the natural world and even our own beliefs - no longer feel as secure as they once did. Rather than offering answers, the prints explore the uncertainty of living through that change.

Graeme Reed graduated from Chelsea School of Art with an MA in Fine Art Printmaking. He has exhibited widely, including the RE International Original Print Exhibition, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair (Director's Cut), RBSA Gallery, the RWA Annual Open Exhibition and Ironbridge Fine Arts.
