I’m an interdisciplinary artist working in painting, drawing, digital art, writing, sculpture, sound, song, and video. My artistic practice is linked to spirit communication, exploring multiple themes including the underlying energy of existence, the nature of time, the soul, and the universe. When I share messages through the act of creation, I aim to preserve their aesthetic qualities. A message from spirit exists as energy, and I aim to give it physicality.

Using various methods, I aim to make messages from the spirit world manifest in the world around me, but there are layers to this manifestation. Learning from receiving energies and the creative process, I consider the relationship between concept and materiality.

The most compatible material or medium for a concept isn’t always my first choice, because sometimes the conflict inspires something more interesting. Working digitally or with sound, I explore the subtle levels of manifestation. When I create sculpture, it’s the other extreme of what something means to be physical.

The energy of the message is translated through my visual language and, through creation, undergoes a process of materialization, revealing a deeper insight at each stage. Once the work is shared, it can connect with the broader community’s shared knowledge, revealing a greater understanding of what the work is and the nature of the message.

I want to invite the viewer to explore my work in ways that are comfortable for them. Words like worlding and theorizing keep conversation open and respectful, so although I don’t use these phrases, I make space for such conceptualizations of my work. I aim to deliver a message from spirit in an ever-loving way, as the delivery process should convey the message’s true nature. And love is the essence of any message from spirit.
