Matt Stein

Bristol
Matt Stein, Sculptor. I have been sculpting since 1983. I set up Steinworks Sculpture in 2005. I'm based in Bristol UK.

Concepts: I make sculptures using simple geometric and organic forms intended to create a calm environment. I work in both stainless steel and copper and can work on any scale to commission. Each year I launch a new range of sculptures and run to editions of just 9 for each design. I returned to making Sculpture in 2005 after several years of being a medical sculptor. Since trading as Steinworks Sculpture I have won three significant public and corporate commissions. Influences: Sculptors: Isamu Noguch and Brancusi, Japanese and oriental garden design and architecture. Areas of work: Private commissions Public & Corporate art
