Nora Gaston

Northrepps
I am interested in what lies beneath, what is not immediately obvious. I teach and create.

My work always begins with drawings and sketches either in the studio or on site. These may become art works or be developed into 3D glass. I have used steel in the 3 local public art commissions completed locally.

I am inspired by what is around me but also influenced by the music and poetry based on the subject.

My work has been described as a balance of chaos and control. I agree as I really enjoy when the work struggles to get away from me and I can go with the challenge.
