Sally Lemsford

WORTHING
Tiny Act performances filmed/edited to tell a story + zine platforms + environmental actions = opportunities for critical engagement with social justice.

My social practice creates encounters that explore the everyday, especially for those who may not step into the art gallery. I encourage them to look afresh at their own local and global space, to consider and reflect on their everyday experiences, stories, moments in life. Looking at and digesting unfamiliar material in a familiar way creates shared experiences of art as research, art as education in its broadest sense.

Collaborating with other artists gives me longer-term relationships in which to explore these concepts and work towards increasing our visibility so we have a clearer voice at national debates.
