Wincy Kung
I am an artist and illustrator from Hong Kong, now based in the UK. My practice is rooted in cultural heritage, community memory, and architecture. I explore through drawing, storytelling, and participatory making.
I often work across illustration, spatial design, and craft-based processes to reflect on disappearing traditions and how they can be reimagined in contemporary life. I am especially interested in how visual storytelling can preserve and reinterpret cultural practices, whether through hand-drawn maps, interactive installations, or community workshops.
My projects are research-led and grounded in both lived experience and collective memory. I enjoy working with people through co-creating objects, spaces, and visual narratives that connect the past with the present. For me, illustration isn’t just image-making, it’s a way of building relationships and making culture visible.
