One of the portraits I created for a series of projects of disability activists.
Kate Brown was the person who set up the disability movement when she was working at a London Council. She started the campaign for accessible transport, together the feminist movement. As a lesbian woman, she also championed LGBTQ rights.

Image Description for Accessibility:
An acrylic painting portrays a woman, Kate Brown, seated in a black electric wheelchair. She has short, grey hair and is wearing red-rimmed glasses, a dark top, and blue trousers. She holds a light blue object or box in her lap and gestures with her right hand. The background is a mix of green and reddish-brown foliage, suggesting an outdoor or garden setting, with two white rectangular shapes visible in the upper left.
