5 Squared is made from 25 roles of woven wire fly mesh. Each role is pulled from the centre to form a tall grass like frond. The work was made for The Atrium Gallery at Coopers and Lybrand. It grows from a configuration of 5 rows of 5, as each frond grows further from this strict base it becomes less accountable to its mathematical foundations.
