Description: a head and shoulders portrait of Constance Howard MBE 1910 - 2000. Techniques: hand embroidery & appliqué Materials: recycled cotton, linen & silk fabrics, cotton embroidery threads & wool yarn. Stretched on wooden stretcher bars. Many thanks to Jan Beaney & Jean Littlejohn for providing the original photo which is featured in their book ‘Conversations with Constance’ on which I based my portrait.
