Inspired by devotional sculptures of the Head of John the Baptist this androgynous work is an embodiment of the grief of nature when humans deny it and separate themselves from it.
It is sculpted from paper-clay and the pencil drawing across the face is taken from the skin of Ringed Seal. A deliberately emotional work.
