Accumulation

The oil paintings of 2024 explore the cyclical rhythms of nature. Working from observational drawings, organic forms are fluid and energetic lines that suggest woodgrain, layered earth, and shifting landscapes guiding the viewer across the surface, echoing natural patterns of growth, erosion, and renewal.

Ridges of bark, the curve of a leaf, the frill of a tulip petal, roots threading through soil, all serve as points of departure. Through repetition and variation these compositions evoke movement—ripples of water, vibrations of sound, and the slow passage of time.
