The figurative sculpture was made in response to working with pupils and staff at Daniel House Pupil Referral Unit in Hackney. Workshops involving carving construction and casting informed the genesis of the work. The figure is partly encased in a series of concrete layers that are cut away to reveal the internal core of the figure. 'Mould and moulded' is an alternative title.
