All of us Beings

By  Emily Joy 2024 - 2025

Body of work made in collaboration with Alison Cockcroft, during land-based winter residency.

"We land in an unfamiliar land in winter: we are feeling in-to-place. Stretching towards, reaching towards one another and out, turning our attention inward and outward, tending to the many relationships between. We attend to feel at home, to land upon land, extending tendrils of claim. Moving in and out of domestic and agricultural, internal and external spaces, across thresholds and through tensions and connections between humans and land and the wider environment and all of us beings."

Toned cyanotypes, black clay, text, glass, roots, leaves, drawing.
