Approaching an Exchange: Dartmoor

By  Anna Keleher 2008

Claire Long

'Approaching an Exchange: Dartmoor' is a collaborative project potentising our lives, cultures and times. (Anna Keleher and Claire Long, New Mexico) Their film short documents a series of pilgrimages to Avon dam Bronze Age settlement( Dartmoor National Park) which happened between February and September 2008. In preparation for the exchange process each participant was asked to select an object, idea or element from their life, culture or profession to share with the original inhabitants of a particular Bronze Age hut circle. They were also invited to think of a hypothetical gift to give and one they would like to receive from their 'hosts' were it possible. Anna and Claire are transposing this project to a very different archaeological site in New Mexico in September 2009.
