Avoiding Something

A selection from a series of ink drawings, digitally colourized. As ideas for sculptures, they represent the spontaneity, energy and confusion of mark making, processed to become solid, static objects. It can be a challenge to avoid accidentally representing something recognizable when creating random marks. Colour has been added to abstract the designs away from what are just recognizable squiggles.
