Bathroom Dances

By Libby Scarlett 2020 - 2026

Bathroom Dances take the privacy of the bathroom as a space and moment to disconnect from labour. To reunite the neglected or overburdened body/mind through fast, fun, rebellious, small-time, big-impact dances. They question time, autonomy and work to explore change through bodily movement and restricted duration.

Three new videos, alongside a floor of hand-wrapped foil tiles was shown at outhouse gallery, London in early 2026.
An edition of Bathroom Dance Instructions were available for visitors to take away to perform their own Bathroom Dance.
