'Bird of Paradise' glass commission

Commissioned by private clients with a passion for Strelitzia reginae (Bird of Paradise plant) for their new garden room. I created a graphical image of the plant, in pencil, and this was then transferred to glass using a sandblasting technique to replicate the look of traditional acid etch. Drawn from life the design is an amalgam and simplification of their collection of plants, rendered at approximately life size.
