This pendant started life as one of a pair of earrings, which I made in the 90s. I developed my own technique to resist dye nylon, cut then form it. The nylon was bead blasted so it has a matt finish, which makes it look a bit like frosted glass as it is translucent. There are gold leaf dots in the undyed areas. There is a hook and loop fastening. I have decided to refabricate some of this jewellery.
I was making this style of jewellery when I became a selected maker on the Crafts Council's Photostore.
